Church potluck – Friday Family Nights begin this 6:00 pm Friday, July 7 – 

We have a church potluck, and then a 7:30 a short service. In these services, we pray, sing some hymns, and then have a short (15-20 minute) presentation. This year the topic will be on the history of different Christian hymns. Caleb will be giving the first talk.

Friday Family Night

Friday, August 18, is the Chapel’s next Friday Family Night this summer.

We start at about 6 PM with a potluck at Mader Hall. Families please bring a main dish and a salad or dessert. Single bring one dish.

After the potluck, we have a short service at the Chapel. We pray, sing hymns, and have a short (15–20 minutes) talk. This year, the topic will be on the history behind different hymns.

Afterwards, often some peoples stay to play board games.

The service includes hymn singing, a memory verse, a presentation (usually someones testimony this year), and a closing chorus from the last two verses of Jude.

Families usually bring a main dish and salad or dessert, singles one dish, but if this is your first time, you don’t have to, as some of us bring extra.

This Friday’s short talk will be on value of more literal translations like the King James Version, and will give some tools from literature and forensic statement analysis to help in understanding the Bible. It will be connected to the gospel.
