The special music was by The Believers singing “Lord, Listen to Your Children Pray.” Ed Dickinson gave the Missionary Spotlight regarding work in Israel.

Dr. Sohrab Ramtin read Mark 14:3–9. (Interestingly, he taught on a parallel account of what Tom Cantor taught in Sunday school today. You can listen HERE

Then, Sohrab noted that the Gospels lead up to the point of the death, resurrection, atonement, and ascension of Christ. Sohrab said that God directs the drama in which there are enemies and friends. He pointed out that God overruled the priests and scribes plan (1-2). Among the friends was the woman who anointed Jesus with the perfume. He showed that this was one of the Mary’s from a John 12:31.

Sohrab also made the case that Simon the leper was probably healed by Jesus. He not only went over the account but also gave applications. He concluded with, “Have you received his gift of salvation?“

First, Tom read Matthew 26:6-13. He noted Old Testament passages related to Christ. He made connections from the parallel account in Mark 13. Next, he contrasted Mary’s behavior to that of Ananias and Sapphira. Tom then compared Mary with the woman who anointed Jesus’s feet.

Also, Tom game applications and noted Israel’s future repentance. He noted that she is an example for us and to honor Christ in the time we have. “Today is the day of salvation!“ Tom noted that in teaching on this we are fulfilling this passage. Finally, he noted that this it would be a memorial to her (Matthew 6:13).

Tom first read Ezra 7. He then noted that the role of the priest was between man and God, and the role of the prophet was between God and man. He connected this to how Christ is our high priest. He also made connections between Ezra and Moses regarding their sacrifices for Israel. Also, Tom pointed out Ezra’s focus on the power of the Lord.

Tom pointed out that Ezra had four steps in Ezra 7:10. First, prepared his heart; second, to seek the law of the Lord; third, to do it; and fourth, to teach Israel the statutes and judgments. He gave application as to how we can apply these principles to our lives. Tom also contrasted Ezra’s behavior with that of the hypocrites in Christ’s today.

Tom first gave a review of the previous parables. He gave application from Mordecai Ham’s and his own experiences that motivated them to evangelize. He gave applications on doing God’s will and a call to “finish well.”

Tom then taught from the passage noting Christ’s use of the present tense regarding the future feast and his betrayal. His conclusion included that Christ as our passover.

First, Sam Burton gave an outline of Psalm 103. Next, Sam gave teachings and applications from each of these sections. Finally, he connected Psalm 103 to a verse from the book of Proverbs which his wife had made into a song.
