Balboa Park Christmas Outreach – David Edwin Hall

Here is a link to David Hall‘s Facebook page where he gives an update on his evangelistic outreach in Balboa Park, has some pictures, and two videos of Christmas carols. One of the Christmas carols is “Silent Night“ and the other is a Ukrainian Christmas Carol. Read about his witnessing and using apologetics to spread the Gospel HERE on Facebook.
You do not need to sign into Facebook to watch this. You can go to Balboa Park on Saturdays to check out this great local ministry. His outreach is set up by the fountain.

Also, David has an updated version of his website. Check it out here for a lot of great apologetic and evangelistic resources
Science Scripture Salvation Outreach

And here he has a website with Christian poetry
Quiet Time Poems

Personally, I think these offer a good balance of “Christianity for the tough minded“ and “Christianity for the tender hearted.“ But after all, God loves everyone, Christ died and rose from the dead for everyone, and the Holy Spirit calls everyone to salvation, so it makes sense that Christianity was made for everyone. The Lord Jesus Christ is returning, and today is the day of salvation – trust in Him today and be saved!

Help the Homeless this Christmas – San Diego Rescue Mission

You can help the homeless this Christmas by giving to the San Diego Rescue Mission. They give the immediate help of warm clothing and a place for women and children to stay overnight. They also have a year-long program with job training and personal support. They also give the Gospel.

They are also giving a Christmas meal.

You can donate to them right now at the San Diego Rescue Mission’s website

Mission Valley Community Chapel also gives to them, so if you go to the Chapel, you can also designate giving for them and put it in the offering box in the back.

“Science Scripture Salvation Outreach” Local Apologetic/Evangelistic Outreach by David Hall

Here’s another update from David Hall’s apologetic and evangelistic outreach in Balboa Park “Science Scripture Salvation Outreach” on Facebook.

Visit David’s Science Scripture Salvation in the park on Saturdays at the Bea Evenson Fountain area get directions here. Look for the display of posters about science and prophecy like the ones in the below video –

In this video, David shares the Gospel using Messianic prophecies and the Gospel of John

It was from David and the free material at his outreach that I found out about these motion tracts the size of a business card that we will be giving out this Halloween from our homes.

Child Evangelism – Share The Gospel This Halloween!

Share The Gospel This Halloween!

Halloween is coming up at the end of this month, and it’s a great way to share the gospel!

People come to your door. You can share gospel tracts with the candy. (Parents check their children’s candy, so you won’t be going behind parents’ backs when doing this.)

Stock up now with tracts in time, and get good candy to give out with them! And pray that the Lord would bless your outreach.

This year we are giving out several of these – business card size motion tracts these business card size motion tracts at MWTB

They are more expensive and not as detailed as the bigger tracts, but they are more likely to be kept. I’ll put up a post when we have them out on the Chapel’s resource table.

Here is a regular Halloween track we’ve given out that cost less and is good A SPECIAL TREAT FOR EVERYONE!

Note: the above cards and tracts are available in the King James Version and the New King James Version. (Though we have the King James Version as our pew Bible, I ordered the New King James Version of the cards/tracts, as that would be easier to understand by children.)

But if there are other tracts you like, get those!

Local Ministry – Child Evangelism Fellowship

Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) is an international ministry that reaches children with the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ. We help support the San Diego Child Evangelism Fellowship (Ann Hokstad, Director)

Child Evangelism Fellowship® is a Bible-centered, organization composed of born-again believers whose purpose is to evangelize boys and girls with the Gospel of the Lord Jesus Christ and to establish (disciple) them in the Word of God and in a local church for Christian living. – from their website

They are especially known for their Good News Clubs at schools and since the beginning of Covid their Mailbox Clubs. Here is a list of  CEF Ministries

So if you are interested in outreach to kids, this would be a ministry you could give to, pray for, or help out at.

Bring recyclables for Good News Clubs (Child Evangelism Fellowship)

Bring your water or soda bottle/can recyclables to the Chapel. We collect them to give the money to Good News Clubs (Child Evangelism Fellowship). Child Evangelism Fellowship (CEF) reaches students with the gospel.

Some folks at the Chapel are directly involved with Child Evangelism Fellowship in San Diego, our giving helps support this ministry, and we can also help by bringing recyclables. Only water or soda bottles/cans will work. This is another way we can get money to reach children with the gospel.

Don takes care of this, but anyone in leadership with a key to the container can store the recyclables for you.

Local Ministry – San Diego Rescue Mission

Mission Valley Community Chapel helps support the San Diego Rescue Mission

“At the San Diego Rescue Mission, our goal is to get people off the streets permanently. We can’t do this without the support of the community. Volunteers, corporations, churches, and private donors make it possible to transform lives of those who are experiencing homeless.
Our programs are designed not only to meet the immediate, tangible necessities of those who come to us in need, but also to address the underlying issues of the heart. This is how lives are transformed, impacting San Diego one life at a time.” https://www.sdrescue.org/our-programs/

This is a great place to visit and learn about God and his creation. Originally founded by the Institute for Creation Research, Tom Cantor now operates the museum and has greatly expanded it. It now has not only a larger museum about creation, but also has a section about the Tabernacle.

“DAILY MUSEUM ADMISSION PRICES
$8 Adult (13-59)
$6 Seniors (60+)
$6 Active Military
$3 Youth (5-12)
FREE Children Ages 4 and under”

Museum admission includes all exhibits, Dinosaur Gardens and the Tabernacle Theater” https://creationsd.org/visit/admission/

“The exhibits in the Creation & Earth History Museum are based on true Biblical history, beginning with Creation in Genesis 1. This journey will continue through the rebellion of humanity against the Creator, the worldwide Flood of Noah’s time, the dispersion at Babel, the history of Israel and the Gentile nations, the redemptive work of Jesus Christ, and the consummation of God’s purposes for creation when Jesus returns. Many museum exhibits are also devoted to explaining how modern day scientific and historical evidence confirms the biblical account, and some such as the Human Anatomy Wing, showcase the miraculous, ingenious, and harmonious biological structures that our Creator has designed for life…” Read more here https://creationsd.org/about/exhibits/

“THE HISTORY:
Dr. Henry Morris’ Institute for Creation Research launched the Creation and Earth History Museum in 1992. For 16 years, ICR developed and grew the exhibits with a mission to equip believers with evidence of the Bible’s accuracy and authority through scientific research, educational programs, and media presentations, all conducted within a thoroughly biblical framework. Upon ICR’s move to Texas in 2008, the entire museum and its contents were sold to Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc.
Tom Cantor, the owner of Scantibodies Laboratory, Inc., and his wife Cheryl founded a non-profit 501c3 ministry called the Life and Light Foundation. The Life and Light Foundation owns and operates the museum and continues creation evangelism.

MISSION:
To provide scriptural and scientific evidence that reinforces the biblical account of creation and to support the body of Christ in fulfilling its great commission by offering educational and evangelistic opportunities through interactive museum experiences and activities.” https://creationsd.org/about/museum-history/

Local Apologetic/Evangelistic Outreach by David Hall

David Hall runs an apologetic/evangelistic outreach in Balboa Park. He does not go to the Chapel, though his daughter and her family did before they moved north for more musical training – https://www.delamottestrings.com

Here’s a link to an update about his latest outreach https://www.facebook.com/1226810861/posts/10226976149929508/

I (Paul) have had the opportunity to help out with this outreach on a couple of occasion. It’s really great. It includes evidence from creation and the Bible to point people to Christ. It is a unique outreach in that has evidence from creation, prophecy, typology, and legal evidences all pointing people to the Good News of the Lord Jesus Christ. But after all, isn’t that like the kind of reasoning the apostles did in the book of Acts?

If you’re ever in Balboa Park on a Saturday, you can stop by at the Bea Evenson Fountain area https://goo.gl/maps/ZRwbW1CVGSy5neja6

You’ll see a bunch of posters set up with pictures from science and prophecy. They are pictures like the ones on these free hand outs –
