Watch our October 24, 2021 Worship service, sermon by Sohrab Ramtin on Rumble, too

Watch our October 24, 2021 Worship service, including singing, announcements,  and a sermon by Dr. Sohrab Ramtin on Rumble, too. He taught from the Gospel of Mark from 8:27-33.

Sohrab noted that when people try to take the place of God, they take the place of the devil; and that Jesus is really God, not the myths of the pagans nor a mere man like Caesar.

Watch our October 24, 2021  Worship service, including hymn singing, announcements, and a sermon by Dr. Sohrab Ramtin.

Sohrab preached from Mark 8:27-33. He covered the two confessions of the Apostle Peter and “Peter’s greatest commendation and greatest condemnation.” He noted that all falsehood is a blend of good and bad that looks nice on the surface. He also pointed out how the apostles ended up understanding the person of Christ at the time but not all of his plan. They were looking for his glory but not his suffering before that. There were many other good points he made.

First hymn “We Worship There”

Second hymn “I’ll Tell the World That I’m a Christian”

Third hymn “ The Banner of the Cross

Closing hymn “I Will Sing of the Mercies of the Lord“

Mission Valley Community Chapel
6964 Mission Gorge Road
San Diego, CA 92120

We are an Open Plymouth brethren assembly, and from the start, the Plymouth Brethren have had a focus on the prophecies given to Israel and their future salvation and restoration. From Pastor Jim Mader’s founding of Mission Valley Community Chapel, reaching the Jewish people with the gospel has been important to us. This work was often done in connection with the San Diego Hebrew Mission. Now Tom Cantor, a Jewish believer in the Lord Jesus Christ, teaches at the Chapel. He is also the founder of Israel Restoration Ministries.

Watch our October 17, 2021 Worship service, sermon by Tom Cantor

Watch our October 17, 2021 Worship service, including hymn singing, announcements, a musical special, and a sermon by Tom Cantor.

Tom taught from the last chapter of Malachi (4) which is also the last chapter of the Old Testament. He showed how the end of both the Old Testament and New Testament teach of the Lord’s coming judgment, God’s coming blessings for the saved, and His genuine desire for all and call to all for salvation – “Turn” (Malachi 4:6), “Come!” (Revelation 22:17)

Watch our October 17, 2021 adult Sunday school class taught by Tom Cantor

Watch our October 17, 2021 adult Sunday school class taught by Tom Cantor from the Gospel of Matthew (Matthew 17:24-27).

This passage covered the question to Jesus paying the temple tax and Jesus’s response to cast hook in the sea to get a fish and the money would be in the fish’s mouth. One minor point Tom noted was that this is the only case of fishing with a hook in the New Testament. In all other cases where details are given, nets are used. He also address the supernatural nature of the Lord’s knowledge and of the fish having a coin. He covered other details and applications.
