Tom first gave a review of the previous parables. He gave application from Mordecai Ham’s and his own experiences that motivated them to evangelize. He gave applications on doing God’s will and a call to “finish well.”

Tom then taught from the passage noting Christ’s use of the present tense regarding the future feast and his betrayal. His conclusion included that Christ as our passover.

Tom taught on The Parable of the Sheep and the Goats. First, he gave a review of the chapter and its parables. He gave lessons from these.

Then he started teaching on this parable. He noted that “our judge Christ Jesus understands what it means to be a man“ and that he had the same nature. He referred to the book of Hebrews, Isaiah 53, and Lamentations 1:12 in relation to this and peoples rejection of Jesus.

Tom made the point that there are three crosses and people respond like one of the two thieves. Christ is in the middle. He made number of points from the parable itself and the need to trust in Christ and how to have assurance.

Tom reviewed the context of this parable in relation to the previous one. He then gave three things the Holy Spirit gives us to live the Christian life. He gave applications from his experiences in Jewish vandalism. Also, he gave an analogy to this parable from his experience in business. Finally, he went over the first part of the parable with more applications.

Tom Cantor started by reading Matthew 25:1-13 and giving a review of the setting. Tom next gave a description of the Jewish setting. He then described what parables are like and how they work.

Tom then spoke on the Parable of the Ten Virgins and gave practical application. He connected it with Luke 13:14, Matthew 7:22-23, and the parable of Lazarus. One application he gave was, “Develop what is not seen – trust and obey.

He also emphasized the importance of turning to the Lord now while there is time to be saved. One person listening to it summarized it as, “Get right or get left.”
